However, the cost of attracting attendees has increased. The amount of money exhibitors spend per attendee entering their exhibits was up nine percent since 2009. Even though traffic density held steady since 2008, this was attributed to contracted floor space. The survey also revealed that on average 34 percent of attendees were first-timers to any given trade show.
