However, consummate travelers will miss narrow-bodied aircrafts for long-haul flights. The reasons? First, because with 400-plus and even 500-plus seats, wide-bodied planes tend to create confusion, crowded conditions, slow boarding and deplaning, and... dirty toilets. Second, because, having filled all the available passengers for the flight into one aircraft, there won’t be a need to schedule subsequent flights on narrowbodied airplanes —those that can accommodate 190-plus passengers. With the pandemic, airlines shifted toward smaller planes, and, as travel started to pick up, the wide-bodied planes began returning to the gates, especially for long-haul flights.
